NessMasta's News

Posted by NessMasta - December 4th, 2008

After been debating on this for quite sometime whether or not to ACTUALLY continue with Nintegaball GT, I've decided to continue it, and I've decided to take it back to the TV Show format once again. Since I have decided to return to NBGT, I will completely redo the first episode and the art as well. However, I've decided not to do NBGT in Flash, for there is a far better animation program that I have found in which I'm planning on getting soon called ToonBoom, so it'll be a while for NBGT to be worked on once again.

The style of the series will be anime-based, and I've decided to do voice acting for it because the ToonBoom program makes it so much easier in that area since it has this feature that will have the mouth animation auto-sync with the audio.

I created a new logo for the series to give it that serious atmosphere in which NBGT is originally targeting at.

So more news to come on the new Nintegaball GT.

The Return of Nintegaball GT

Well, I just wanted to write this post saying that I am very surprised that my MGS clip even made it to the newest Newgrounds Collab, MGS Collab. If you haven't seen it yet, CLICK HERE to see it, and my short clip is #42 of 50 shorts.

Hello everyone! It's been quite sometime since the last time I posted some news on here. Some of you that I know will pretty much know what this news post is about, since this news has been out for quite sometime, and I haven't gotten around to posting it here on Newgrounds.

Of course all of the people that have read my last post know that I reformatted Nintegaball GT from a TV Show to a Feature-Length Film Franchise, in which this way makes it easier on me and for the audience. There will be 4 or 5 Nintegaball GT movies in plans, where each film will represent a Saga. So the first film will be based on the Ganondorf Saga, which is what the first saga of the TV Show version was going to be based on.

So, I have created a teaser trailer for the film, and can be viewed at http://www.jasonnessa.com/nbgt.html. I won't begin production on the movie until September this year when I graduate from college. Hope you enjoy the little teaser trailer to kind of satisfy you for a while.

Nintegaball GT: The Rise of Ganondorf Teaser Trailer

Posted by NessMasta - December 11th, 2007

As you all might have known for quite sometime that I am currently developing another series that I've been wanting to do for many years, which is Tom & Mr. Pinchy. As I get into developing this series further, I come to realize on what I will do with Nintegaball GT. Episode 2 "would" have been released within this month for very early next month. However, with another series under development, I had to rethink about what to do with Nintegaball GT. So today, I have made a decision making a new direction and reformatting Nintegaball GT from a show/series to MOVIES. This way, it'll be much easier on me and I can take my time on making them, along with Tom & Mr. Pinchy. Nintegaball GT will have 4, 5 or 6 movies as one movie as a saga, with the first movie about the Ganondorf Saga. So, the first movie of Nintegaball GT will be titled Nintegaball GT: The Rise of Ganondorf. The movies will all be done with HD Sprites and with voice acting. Now I have much to do of redirecting NBGT and start working on a script for the first movie.

I've also did this because I think we need more varieties of shows here at VGLan like Sypher's upcoming series and my upcoming series, Tom & Mr. Pinchy. Plus I think that the Mario/Sonic/DBZ crossover belongs to AE more than anyone else. But I'll still be making NBGT, but in movies.

It's been a while since I last posted something on here, but I have an update on my new series in pre-production. I now have an image of what Tom will look like, to let a lot of you know that I not talking about the Tom that's running Newgrounds. So below is the image of Tom, and I will have the images of Mr. Pinchy and Josh the Genie soon.

Tom & Mr. Pinchy Update

Posted by NessMasta - August 23rd, 2007

Besides just doing Nintegaball GT, I have another series in the making that I've been wanting to do for quite sometime. This series is called The Adventures of Tom & Mr. Pinchy (No, it's not the Newgrounds Tom). A friend and I made up this story back when I was a freshman in high school based on one of my good friends that his name also happens to be Tom, and an imaginary lobster named Mr. Pinchy that is created by him (not in real life). Then, we added a pothead genie with the two named Josh the Genie, which Tom and Mr. Pinchy met in one of their first adventures together. The series is a non-sprite animation, though body parts will be made in advance and even the enviroment. But soon I'll start releasing the images of the characters and hopefully some enviroments/backgrounds. So more to come!

(This NBGT FAQ information came from the VGLan Forums.)

I know a lot of you would want to ask me questions and want a response. But a lot of questions I get are the ones I've answered many times. So, I decided to post up some frequently asked questions that I hope NOT to repeat answering anymore.

Q: What does Nintegaball stand for?

A: The name is a combination of three words: Nintendo, Sega, and Dragonball.

Q: If it's called Nintegaball, then why you don't have Capcom within the name since Megaman characters are in it?

A: If I incorporated Capcom within the Nintegaball name, it would just be too much, and would just not sound right. I just want to keep it plain and simple.

Q: Is Nintegaball GT a sequel to Super Mario Bros. Z?

A: No. Alvin and I discussed with each other on this issue, and we responded that it just wouldn't work out and we would have to change the stories for both series' and props as well. Nintegaball GT is an entirely different series, more like a spin-off to Super Mario Bros. Z.

Q: When I saw the pilot trailer of Nintegaball GT, I saw that you have the Dragonballs and Shenron in it. So, is NBGT more DBZ-ish than SMBZ?

A: The only things that Nintegaball GT will connect with the DBZ-ish way is that it'll only have the Dragonballs (But they're called Nintegaballs in this series), Shenron, superpowers, and maybe a couple of fusions, but that's still in debate. That's all. The rest is in the Nintendo, Sega, and Capcom universe.

Q: Will Mario, Sonic, and Megaman only be the ones to transform into their super forms in the series?

A: They won't be the only ones to transform in their super forms. Shadow will also be in his super form which you should have seen in the NBGT pilot trailer, and there's a possibly of another character that will transform.

Q: How many seasons will Nintegaball GT have?

A: There will only be a total of 3 seasons for the series.

Q: How many episodes will each season have in Nintegaball GT, since SMBZ will have 15 episodes per season?

A: I am planning on targeting 10 to 15 episodes per season, which will be a total of 30 to 45 episodes for the entire series.

Q: Who is the main villain of Season 1?

A: Season 1's main villain will be Ganondorf.

Q: Who is the main villain of Season 2?

A: That will be announced just before Season 2 starts.

Q: Who is the main villain of Season 3?

A: That will be announced just before Season 3 starts.

Q: Why do you have Mario transform into a "Super Sayian"?

A: First off, I'm not really calling any characters a Super Sayian in the series, I just go by, for example, Super Mario; and when he transforms into a second super form, I call him Super Maio 2. Anyways, I think it would be better and cool to see Nintendo characters like Mario, to have super powers and really not use special items.

Q: Will you have special items in Nintegaball GT?

A: I will use very little of special items when Mario and Luigi don't have their super powers yet. However, when they do get the super powers and when Mario transforms into Super Mario, there will be no use for special items anymore.

Q: Where will Nintegaball GT take place?

A: NBGT will take place on modern-day Planet Terra (Earth. Terra is Earth's real name). A good portion of it will be in Mushroom Kingdom City, which is the New York City in the series, but much more cleaner and peaceful... and friendly.

Q: Will some characters die in the series?

A: There will be at least a few that will die in the series. It will become one of the most emotional scenes ever made since NBGT is more of a serious series than a comedy series like Super Mario Bros. Z.

Q: How long will it take for each episode to come out?

A: I really have no dates or anything for that subject. It really depends on how much time I spent with NBGT. Besides, I also have a life so there will be times that I won't work on an episode, and I have college to deal with also. So PLEASE be patient. However, they'll probably come out once every 3 to 4 months because of having school work getting in the way.

Q: You mentioned about making movies; when will these movies occur and who will be the villains in these movies?

A: The movies will take place after each season, to link a season with another. There will be a total of 3 movies, with a unique villain. However, I won't announce the villain of a movie when a season is at an end.

Q: Is there going to be any comedy in Nintegaball GT?

A: Some, but rarely. I've mentioned in the old forums of VGLan that Nintegaball GT will be more serious and a darker series than Super Mario Bros. Z. I want to go more into the dramatic side of the characters to make it more realistic in sort of sense.

Q: Why wasn't there any action in Episode 1 of Nintegaball GT?

A: If you have action scenes in the first episode right away, it would pretty much overshadow the story and plot which is what I wanted to get across first. If you have action scenes right away without even knowing the plot and story, it probably wouldn't make sense where the series is going at. People expect to see action right away, but it's not always the case in reality, even with Episode 1 of Super Mario Bros. Z, there really wasn't any action in the episode, even A.E. told me himself. The story and plot MUST go out first before action. So don't be too judgmental on the episode when the series has just begun.

Q: Why does Mario and Luigi ACTUALLY talk in Nintegaball GT? Why don't they just be silent?

A: Every character SHOULD have a say in a series, even the ones that are main characters of the series. We would want to know that Mario and Luigi are thinking and what their saying, not just by expressions. Besides, if you're an old school gamer like myself, you should know that Mario and Luigi have talked before in the past, like the animated cartoon show in the very late 80's and the movie (I know the people that played these two plumbers aren't actually THE Mario and Luigi, but they're still playing the characters that associate with Nintendo). So I wanted to go back to some of the grassroots with Mario and Luigi in the speaking area.

Well, that's all I can think of for frequently asked questions. But I'll add more down the road.

THE MOST ANTICIPATED spin-off to "Super Mario Bros. Z" is finally here! A very big thank you to Alvin-Earthworm for helping me out during the production stage, especially helping me out bypassing the 16,000 frame limit. But now, Nintegaball GT Episode 1 has finally come after 4 months of production, and hope you enjoy the episode.

The confirmed date for the world premiere of Nintegaball GT is indeed August 19, 2007, so be on the look out for Nintegaball GT Episode 1 on Sunday, which is 2 days away! Also, the episode is 100% completed, and with the help of Alvin-Earthworm, I was able to bypass the 16,000 frame limit. So a big thanks to him on helping me out along the way since I started production on the episode in April. I don't know how to ever repay him back for what he has done for me, but I've heard that he's coming to America in a few months, so I've been trying to convince him to come over to Minneapolis where I live, and I would like to buy him dinner and hang out with him, which this can be my repayment from me. Anyways, mark your calendars for that NBGT will make its world debut this Sunday, August 19th, 2007!
